Master's notes: Opening (and what ended up being Closing) night after almost all live theatre was cancelled for the foreseeable future in the region due to COVID-19; as such, very few people were in attendance, but those who attended more than made up for it in applause and cheering. There were also a few inside jokes that might only make sense to people familiar with the troupe (Penny's face mask joke in Act 1 and the Evita joke in Act 2). Wonderful versions of Follow Your Heart and Run Freedom Run. Some mic problems caused a few actors to sound quite off, but I tried to normalize and equalize that as much as possible.

The audience was also very lively and reactive, so there's a lot of cheering and clapping in the middle of songs, especially Privilege to Pee and Run Freedom Run. Master's notes: This was a one night only performance by the Riverdale Y for their annual Broadway gala, where they mix in a few Broadway vets with their own performers. There’s a few issues with mics turning on late or actor’s losing their place here and there (it was done script in hand) but otherwise good audio capture.

Trading notes: Appears to be transfered from cassette. Audio is entirely on the left channel. Tape skipping/glitches throughout. The copy used to create this entry came as 3 tracks. Track 1 contains Act 1 from the Overture to the Afterparty Scene. Track 2 contains the continuation of the Afterparty scene after the tape flip and goes until a scene appearing after The Tango. Then Act 2 begins and goes from the Entr'acte to the Squash coming out scene. Track 3 contains the continuation of the Squash coming out scene and goes until Sal and the Reveal. Then Act 1 begins again and continues from the Impotent scene until the Crazy World. Then Act 2 continues after that from The Reveal to Victor/Victoria. It appears that Paris Makes Me Horny was not recorded, possibly due to a tape flip.

There's some shuffling around, some minor mic issues, some people behind me talking (not sure how much of that you hear), a bunch of coughing fits, and of course boomers living their jukebox musical dreams. The show is a mix of Jersey Boys meets A Bronx Tale with a pinch of American Idiot tossed in, which while an odd combination made for an entertaining show. Mike Wartella is giving a star-turning performance, with Joey McIntyre, Christy Altomare, Kingsley Leggs, and Jasmine Rogers as other highlights. The second act starts a few moments into the song “The Wanderer” but nothing major is missed. Rules: NO YOUTUBE (!!!!!), no Tumblr, no TikTok, no Reddit.
