Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) (47 recordings)

Master's notes: Clear audio recorded from the front stalls, occasional shuffling and squeaky chairs. I love this show, but Robin says “subway” instead of “train” one too many times. Do not post on any platform (TikTok, Tumblr, YouTube, Reddit, etc.). Please list as bobbyskazoo’s master. Feel free to trade as normal; never to be gifted or sold.

Trading notes: Files are named as June 23, not June 22. Unsure which date is correct.

Master's notes: Ellis’s final show.

Master's notes: Ellis’ last Dougal show! I miss cake show it was so cute

Master's notes: Recorded from front row of the Dress Circle. Closing day matinee performance

Master's notes: Closing night Missing a bit of the beginning of Act 1 but has the individual songs Has all of Act 2

Master's notes: Phoenix's Robin debut! Only show of the run with both standbys, as well as Phoenix's only show.

Master's notes: Clear audio recorded from the front of the theater. Includes curtain call and playout music. I still love this show, but I’m asking the writers to please hire a born-and-raised New Yorker as a dramaturg. I think all the elders around me would also like Sam to work on his enunciation based on all the “WHAT?”s and “HUH?”s I heard. Do not post on any platform (TikTok, Tumblr, YouTube, Reddit, etc.). Please list as bobbyskazoo’s master. Feel free to trade as normal; never to be gifted or sold.

Master's notes: Recorded from front rear orchestra. Penultimate performance of this run. Includes tracked and untracked audio and photos of the cast board.

Master's notes: Recorded from front rear orchestra. Such a charming show and I so hope it finds its way to New York with the current duo in tow. File includes company board photo.

Master's notes: First preview! Clear audio recorded from mid-orchestra featuring the most obnoxious laugher in the history of the world during the first act. Usual first preview audience enthusiasm that occasionally overpowers the audio. Includes curtain call and playout music. Do not post on any platform (TikTok, Tumblr, YouTube, Reddit, etc.). Please list as bobbyskazoo’s master. Feel free to trade as normal; never to be gifted or sold.

Master's notes: Preview performance. Clear audio recorded from front center orchestra; occasional shuffling and someone around me is breathing really loudly. Do not post on any platform (TikTok, Tumblr, YouTube, Reddit, etc.). Please list as bobbyskazoo’s master. Feel free to trade as normal; never to be gifted or sold.

Master's notes: Recorded from left mezzanine. Includes playout. Audio is unfortunately quite quiet at times. Christiani accidentally socked Sam in the stomach during Dearly Beloved (specifically, right after 'That's good, work the room'), causing both of them to break pretty hard and earning an audience applause. You can hear Christiani struggling not to laugh through her next line.

Master's notes: Several audible reactions, including loud laughter and sniffling, throughout.

Master's notes: Clear audio recorded from front mezzanine. Some shuffling and readjusting can be heard throughout. This was right before the Tony's so the audience is especially electric!

Trading notes: Trades only through master until December 2nd, 2026

Master's notes: Clear audio recorded from mid mezzanine. Sam dropped the suit jacket during American Express which caused a commotion. Typical matinee audience that gets much worse in Act 2--loud hacking coughing, a phone goes off right across from me, and the guy sitting in front of me loudly says HMMMMM after every minor plot twist. If you can get past this, Sam and Jana sound fantastic as always.

Master's notes: Clear audio recorded from front mezzanine. Some shuffling and readjusting can be heard throughout. Sorry if you hear me and my friend giggle, Vincent was making some wonderfully weird choices that night.

Master's notes: Recorded from front-ish Mezz. Lots of coughs, and caught chatter from people around me. Some noise on my part - whoops! Couldn't help but laugh and react.

Master's notes: Clear audio recorded from front orchestra. Some shuffling and readjusting can be heard throughout. My friend next to me laughs super easily, but is not obnoxious. Music occasionally overpowers vocals a bit, but still audible. You can hear the turntable creaking in quiet parts, especially prevalent towards the end of If I Believed.

Master's notes: Decently clear audio recorded from mid mezzanine, though it's quieter than my other recordings. Some shuffling and readjusting can be heard throughout. Sirens were blaring outside and the Hadestown stage door was starting up towards the end of the show, so that might be audible, sorry. Amazing audience reactions and a great performance from this pair of Tony nominees!
