Trading notes: Closing performance. This is arguably the best of the four. 4K and 1080p, from right mezzanine. Very steady filming. Almost no obstructions—minimal heads in house-right side on widest shots. About 1-minute dropout during Finale when house lights come up. Includes curtain call. Funny mishap when Denée's slipper flew into the audience, causing her to break while Sara went to retrieve it. NPH and Gavin Creel were a little extra goofy, too.

Master's notes: Filmed in 4K, released in 1080p and 4K. The very first preview of the Broadway transfer from Encores! earlier in the year. LOTS of cheers and screaming and laughter from fans excited about this production moving to Broadway. A fair amount of obstruction from heads that is worked around as best as possible.

Trading notes: Filmed in 4K, released in 1080p and 4K. First 10 minutes of Act 2 are audio-only due to camera issue that got resolved by Agony (Reprise). Minor obstruction of the lower part of the stage by heads. Otherwise very well shot with both zooms and wide-shots. Never to be sold except by master, never to be posted in part or in whole anywhere online.

Trading notes: Incredible performances and stunning capture. Gorgeous closeups, crystal clear audio, and no washout. This might be the best capture of this revival!

A bit of obstruction from a head for action on right side of screen, a few brief instances where the camera went in and out of focus, but otherwise a great video of Mary Kate Moore as the Baker's Wife and the current combination of everchanging cast members. Includes Gavin Creel's farewell speech as it was Krysta Rodriguez's final performance and his emotional BC/EFA speech (as it was the day after the Club Q shooting).

Drew Gasparini returns to his beloved Feinsteins/54 Below to share Its Kind of a Funny Story, a musical about the simpler things in life: anxiety, depression, and possible insanity. When Craig Gilner, a sixteen-year old piece of social wallpaper, attempts and fails to jump off the Brooklyn Bridge, he admits himself into a mental hospital. Far from the squeezing scrutiny of family, friends, social media, and growing up, Craig is able to face his fears with the help of the unlikeliest people on earth and learns the answer to the question, “If everyone is crazy, is anyone crazy?” Based on the best-selling novel by Ned Vizzini and the 2010 Focus Features film, Its Kind of a Funny Story – a commission for Universal Stage Productions – features music & lyrics by Drew and a book by 2016 Tony nominee and fellow (M)oron Alex Brightman. A lot of traders only have highlights of the show that were uploaded to Drew Gasparini's Youtube channel. Check with traders to ensure they have the full show.

Master's notes: Much like seeing jesus christ superstar, nothing about this is good. 1080p HD recording with focus that doesn’t exist because my phone hates me. Recording Stopped during the middle of the forest scene due to the fact i didn’t want to waste storage. Everything after that point is audio (which was arguably better than the video) that becomes muffled and is split into 2 audio files since my phone just randomly stops audioing now. Screenshots are basically what the video is like. I can’t give it anything below an F. So this video gets an F. Also filming goes from You can’t see, To upside down?? To portrait.

Trading notes: First time filming with a new method of holding the camera, so a little bit of shakiness and/or wandering at times in Act 1. Filmed in 4K, cropped and edited down to 1080p in post. A fair amount to a lot of washout in some scenes. Framing a little off at times. Minor obstruction in wider shots.

Master's notes: An evening of conversation and music. Jessie and Seth discuss Jessie's childhood, her big break, and her body of work. Performed to a hometown crowd (which included Jessie's mom, former classmates, and old castmates from the Chicago theatre community) at the Steppenwolf Theatre. Between bits of conversation, Jessie performs song selections from Beautiful, Into the Woods, Carousel, Waitress, and more. As a special treat, Jessie also accompanies herself on the guitar to perform a personal arrangement of A Soft Place to Land. Good capture of this one night only, sold out concert performance. Full disclosure- the master was focused on enjoying the show and not filming at all. A couple heads/hands appear but have mostly been edited out- they partially obstruct here and there but never for long. The picture slightly distorts during applause. Finally, some washout, but not horrible.

My notes: The recording is from 2004, but the file is an MKV, which makes me suspect the file I have is a rip/re-encoded file. However, as nobody else has it on the database, I don't know of anyone else to ask about the original format.

Two standing ovations, one after Gethsemane lasting 2 minutes and one after Superstar lasting a minute. Increased wandering, shaking, and re-adjusting throughout. Includes bows and appearance from ALW. External audio is patched in from Steponmeshoeman. This performance was also filmed by QuoxWoodTrees and Ostarion. Overall a great capture of this wonderful cast!
