Hedwig and the Angry Inch (11 recordings)

Trading notes: Another beautiful capture of the original Broadway cast! This was filmed a week after Neil and Lena's Tonys wins and the show is full of new jokes and variations on songs.

Trading notes: HD capture filmed beautifully. I absolutely love Andrew's sassy portrayal of Hedwig. There are some heads that get in the way and the camera wanders at times, but otherwise a great capture.

Trading notes: Beautiful HD capture of Andrew stepping in to the role. He gives a great performance and makes it his own, with his own jokes and characterizations. Great comparison and follow-up to Neil. Lena has only gotten stronger in the role and holds out an amazing riff! A+

Trading notes: Multi-camera pro-shot of some of John's last performances and some of Rebecca's first performances, filmed over three days (April 24-26, 2015). This is a “Crate Show” (a performance with altered blocking and choreography to accommodate for John recovering from a knee injury), originally leaked to YouTube in low quality with a watermark on the bottom right corner. Finally officially uploaded in 1080p by John Cameron Mitchell to their Patreon in August 2026. Commonly circulating watermarked YouTube rip has a file size of 349.4 MB, while the 1080p Patreon rip is 3.47 GB. The first screenshot shows the low quality watermarked version, while the other screenshots are of the 1080p Patreon rip.

Trading notes: Beautiful HD capture of Darren and Rebecca, who recently joined the production. Darren really has a stunning take on Hedwig with the deck stacked against him. Great performance, new vocals and filled his own set of high heels! A very worthy successor to JCM and thoroughly entertaining! A+

Master's notes: Excellent HD capture of Darren and Lena, returning to the roles for the San Francisco and LA stops only. Great new jokes to fit current events and being in LA. Darren still makes a wonderful Hedwig and it's great to see him in the role again! A

Trading notes: Sometimes mislabeled as an Unknown master from November 16.

Trading notes: Lena is absolutely stunning. She has a completely different take on the role than any other Hedwig, and she holds the audience completely captive. Fans of the show simply must see her performance. Perfectly captured with no washout, no obstruction, and no blackouts. It's filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans. A+

Trading notes: YouTube Rip highlights of the show. Captures a good amount of songs and scenes. Almost something full but, still highlights. Recorded from the front row; a lot of bass pounds the audio during the louder songs so, just be aware if you are wearing headphones because it can be loud.

Trading notes: youtube rip. front row, first 20 minutes of the show, recording apparently stopped because filmer got caught filming.

Trading notes: multi-cam proshot, gift upon request, originally uploaded on youtube.

Master's notes: TW: Transphobia and slurs; this performance was recommended for an 18+ audience. Ok phone boot of this iconic musical. Yay for trans actors!! Actors used the whole space, so on the extreme sides, action is missed. Heads always visible in shot but don't block much unless actors are sitting. During the last song, the person in front of me was annoyingly waving his arms above his head. Actors were occasionally right in front of me, so there are some nice close shots of them. Occasional underexposure, and increased readjustments and shakiness throughout. Shot from house right center aisle. Filmed in 4K, edited to 1080p. TLDR: Trans people being iconic with some obstruction.
